When you start racing darkness YB would you feed them widowhood mix or Versele-Jerry plus, or keep them on YB mix.
I will be going away this month, so I will not be able to close down my darkness YB for one day, would it do the system any harm?.  (I will fill up a hopper up for them)  50% YB X 50% Barley.  I have never flown Darkness before, Still learning at my age

hi fred i would keep them 50% young bird and 50% barley but give them what they want, strengthen it up as you go, a little jerry in the mix wont hurt, as for 1 day of dark it may or may not , but you wont know till later in the season, best if you can get somebody to do it that day ? hope this helps cheers

My Returns was good sent 13 hens 9 unpaired as I had no cock for them, my first 4 birds were unpaired, most of my birds are yearlings I was playing around with the Spair hens letting then in the race loft letting the cocks chase them when they come back from training. half of our members never sent I think the weathers had some thug to do with it. 13 member sent 189 birds. I'm one missing. I'm happy with my returns I never got a card but I'm up there. How did you get on??
