 minerals what type?

do you use red or black i use a mixture of both ,with peck stones during breeding and raceing.

i find with matrix that as much as you put down the birds will eat they love it

i started using matrix this year love the stuff although as alan pointed out they will eat shit loads ive started putting a bit in each nest box sometimes with food like spurs twice aweek so i know there all getting same amount

we find that if you leave it in the loft over night it gets damp and if you have little furry felas thay tend to wee on it then you have a problem Shocked Evil or Very Mad Shocked Shocked Shocked

matrix for me but have a pikpot on floor every day,
but does get taken out this weather as does go damp and not eaten

We use a mix of limestone & shell grit plus black & pink minerals mixed.
when the ybs hatch the minerals are taken away ,the birds seem to gorge
themselves pump it into the ybs then the droppings become watery, to much salt.
the grit is used only every other day while ybs in the nest.

so true about the watery droppings mate i just give them asmall spoon of black one day and small pink every other day on the floor between 8 pairs when feeding ybs
